Spring into Pastels

After a long, cold East Coast winter, it’s nice to finally see, smell and hear some telltale signs of spring. Inside the walls of your home or commercial space, there are ways to keep this fresh feeling alive all year round! A combination of the right lighting, paint and foliage can help. Another way to keep your space feeling light and bright is through the use of pastels.

Pastels help create a relaxed atmosphere in your space and can be mixed with stronger hues to create balance and contrast. This can be an elegant way to add subtle colour into your space, whether you’re installing a new floor, bath surround or kitchen backsplash. You can try using an all-over colour (a soft, sage green backsplash, for example), break things up by tiling your walls using two colours with a ceramic chair rail in between, or use a neutral tile as your main feature with pops of pastel colour added throughout.
